I reckon this is the first book by this author, it isn’t a terrible read it’s very very very small. It’s also quick pace, In the beginning the tale starts with Emma being captured already by Cian and it goes on from here. The beginning was ok but it picked up for me in the middle and I liked the end. Even though I gave it 3 stars as I said it’s not terrible but it didn’t wow me either it’s a quick read to past time.Reviewed By (Romance Novel Junkies Book Reviews)

|Erotic small tale,
This is an erotic small tale, but it’s choppy and super small. I would have preferred to have the details between the chapters to the top in or see this as part of a volume of small tales. Erotic abduction tales can be incredibly rich and detailed but I feel like a tale that only gives us glimpses leaves readers frustrated. I liked the tale, but probably won’t buy another from this author if she publishes again.

|Captivating,
What can I say?
This is not my usual cup of tea. For one, it’s a small tale. Secondly, it’s an adult fantasy romance. For three, it’s about elves.
And it’s very, very excellent. I’d take a refill of this new tea, please!
I want to add that this is certainly an adult small tale and probably wouldn’t recommend it for young readers. But, once said readers are of a more mature age, I would certainly advise giving CAPTIVE a shot.
I like to reckon that I know Ms. Kumar honestly well. She’s in my group Goodwriters for Goodreads and has always been kind, VERY creative, and from what I’ve read thus far and CAPTIVE has proved reasonably tremendously, a tremendous writer. I absolutely loved her use of vocabulary in this small tale. Her use of description was also just lovely. I have no doubt in my mind as to her ability to hegemony language.
As for the font, I thought they were also very well written. Emma was a well-rounded woman held captive by an arrogant, yet complex Elvin Lord. Why wouldn’t you want to read about these public? Cian (Emma’s subjugator), proves to be a tough mystery for Emma to solve. One minute she detects a tenderness to him that she can’t help, but be drawn to and the next he’s ordering her around and referring to her as his ‘human pet’. The plot was simply captivating! Pun intended, but nonetheless right!
So why not give it the whole five stars? Because it’s a small tale. I felt like CAPTIVE was more of a preview, like it simply couldn’t be this small! It’s a full-fledged tale cut down to the most vital and intense scenes. I would’ve really loved seeing those inbetween scenes! I wanted to make this journey with Emma from the very first step. Basically, in all my greedy inclination I’m saying I want more. I want a novel! It’s simply too excellent to condense.
But, if here cannot be more then I will end the review and give CAPTIVE four stars. It’s a gorgeous tale about like and entrust. The fantastical element of Elves gives it something unique (I would really like to learn more about Kumar’s honest folk in general) and here seems to be so many excellent opportunities to expand. Ameon for model. The wilderness for another. The whole prospect of the tale that lies behind this small tale just generates so much nervous excitement in me!
So, anyone who hasn’t read this yet, please do so. And then help me enlist an army to petition for more of Emma and Cian! Absolutely lovely and reasonably fresh!
