PM Chính welcomes women's team for their qualification to World Cup

HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính on Thursday met and congratulated the Vietnamese national women’s football team after they returned home from India.

Attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Đức Đam, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyễn Văn Hùng, and Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Trần Văn Sơn.

PM Chính said that the national women's team qualification for the FIFA Women's World Cup in  二0 二 三 is the biggest victory in the history of Vietnamese football. This achievement is a joy for the whole country.

The PM presented merit certificates to  二 九 players and officials of the team.

Coach Mai Đức Chung emotionally shared his feelings and thanked the Government, the Prime Minister, the Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) and fans across the country for always cheering and encouraging the team.
